About
thank you for checking out my creative space.
My blog started out as a way to chronicle my “eduventure”– travels, ideas, experiences after I left my first prestigious college to discover what I really wanted to do with my life and accumulate life skills. Along the way, studying Arabic at the American University of Beirut in 2012, the blog has morphed to be Lebanon-centric. From religion to the best sushi restaurants in the capital, slowly but surely this country is becoming “home.”
I have no Lebanese background and so my insights are still those of an outsider even though I spend (almost) all my time with Lebanese (non-Americanized Lebanese). Many of the blogs maintained about Lebanon by expats are usually focused on the ambiance of foreigners and limited to Christian areas of Beirut. I have had the privilege of mingling not just with Christian Beirut (I worked at Time Out Magazine) but also with Shia areas.
I hope to bring light to other parts of Beirut and Lebanon as a whole which are not often seen or spoken about!
I would love to get in contact with my readers! My email is globalnuances@gmail.com
Thanks again!!
